Use of Google Analytics
germancut.de uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on users’ computers and that allow an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the users are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and are also stored there. IP anonymization has been activated on this website so that the IP address of Google users within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area is shortened beforehand. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address will be sent to a Google server in the US and will be shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate users’ use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by Google Analytics as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software; However, this offer notifies the users that in such a case they may not be able to use all features of this website in their entirety. In addition, users may prevent the collection and the related use of the data by Google generated by the cookie (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link. The current link is: „http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.“
Facebook Social Plug-ins
Our online offering uses social plug-ins (“plugins”) from the social network facebook.com operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plug-ins are recognizable by one of the Facebook logos (by a white “f” on blue tile, by the term “like” or by a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plug-in”. The list and appearance of Facebook social plug-ins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When a user calls a feature of this online offering that includes such a plug-in, their device establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to the device of the user and is incorporated by it into the online offer. By this process, user profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no control over the amount of data Facebook collects using this plug-in; Therefore, we can only inform users according to our level of knowledge.
By integrating the plug-ins, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the online offer. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his Facebook account. If users interact with the plug-ins, for example, if they press the Like button or leave a comment, the information is transmitted from your device directly to Facebook and is stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store their IP address. According to Facebook, in Germany only an anonymous IP address is stored.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about him via this online offer and link it to his member data stored on Facebook, he must log out of Facebook and delete his cookies before using our online offer. Other settings and inconsistencies regarding the use of data for promotional purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=adsor via the US page //www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU page //www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are platform independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
Within our on-line offer so-called “Facebook pixels” of the social network Facebook are used, operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are based in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to designate the visitors of our offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements, so-called “Facebook Ads”. Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads we have activated only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our website. In other words, with the help of the Facebook pixel, we want to make sure that our Facebook ads are in line with the potential interest of users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also understand the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing if users were redirected to our site after clicking on a Facebook ad.
The Facebook pixel is integrated when calling our website directly through Facebook and can save a small file on your device, a so-called cookie. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook in the logged-in state, the visit of our offer is stored in your profile. The data collected about you are anonymous to us, so do not give us any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible. The processing of the data by Facebook is part of Facebook’s data usage policy. Accordingly, you’ll learn more about how the remarketing pixel works and more about how Facebook ads are displayed in Facebook’s Data Usage Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
You may object to the capture by the Facebook Pixel and to the use of your data to display Facebook Ads. To do this, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions for the settings of usage-based advertising: Https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads or you can object to this on the US page http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are platform independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
Use of Google Maps
We use the “Google Maps” component of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”, on our site.
Each time Google Maps is called, Google sets a cookie to process user settings and data when viewing the site that has the Google Maps component integrated. This cookie is usually not erased by closing the browser, but will expire after a certain amount of time, unless it is manually erased by you.
If you disagree with the processing of your data, you may disable the “Google Maps” service and can prevent, by this, the transmission of data to Google. To do this, you must disable the Java Script feature in your browser. However, please note that in this case you will not be able to use “Google Maps” or only to a limited extent.
Use of Google Webfonts
This site uses so-called Web Fonts, provided by Google, for the uniform representation of fonts. When you call a web site, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to correctly display texts and fonts. If your browser does not support Web Fonts, a default font will be used by your computer.
Furthermore, information about the retrieved resources is stored on the application server. This storage includes software engineering error logs if corresponding errors occur. However, this storage does not store references to the incoming requests. In other words, this is anonymized data that is collected exclusively for the purposes of error detection and error analysis. This data will be completely erased after 90 days.
A statistical evaluation of the log files takes place only for the detection of attacks and their defense. Neither further analyzes nor user profiles are generated or created.
